Meet the Marquette Gang: Genevieve!

1. Where are you from and where do you hope to go? I am from Racine, WI and I hope to work on community health issues in the Milwaukee area. A dream job would be to work in community health abroad as well.

2. First impression of Peru: It's a lot hotter than I expected and I was surprised at how urban the area is...I was expecting more of a village.

3. What type of nursing interests you most: Community health, and I have an interest especially in women's health care needs.

4. Favorite experience of the trip thus far: Oh boy, how do I pick just one. I'd have to say getting to see my first birth ever within 10 minutes of the first clinical day.

5. What has been the most eye-opening experience while in Peru: Ummmm....I would say being really grateful for the interventions we are able to do with patients in the US. All the interventions that are available to us in the US espeially for elderly and bed-bound patients. I never thought I'd be working with pressure ulcers to the extent that we see here.
