1. Where are you from and where do you hope to go? I am from Delano, MN and I hope to travel many places before settling down in one area.
2. First impression of Peru: The people are amazing and it's really hot.
3. What type of nursing interests you most: I can see myself in many different areas but currently I am most interested in acute care Med/Surg or emergency care.
4. Favorite experience of the trip thus far: I really like the home visits and seeing how the lower income population lives and how welcoming they are. Being exposed to the more common health conditions of the community which are uncommon to us is also really interesting.
5. What has been the most eye-opening experience while in Peru: I don't think just one specific experience pops out; they all blend together. The most important takeaway that I've had is the selflessness and overall happiness of the people who live with so little.
