1. Where are you from and where do you hope to go? I'm from Nashtoa, WI and I hope to do some travel nursing, be a Nurse Practitioner, work with older adults, mental health, community health abroad, and go into education. Oh, and go to New Zealand. I like a lot of things.
2. First impression of Peru: Hot as f---!
3. What type of nursing interests you most: Old people--their wisdom is the best.
4. Favorite experience of the trip thus far: Watching a baby be born for the first time.
5. What has been the most eye-opening experience while in Peru: Seeing the differences between how much we take for granted as Americans and how well the people here do with so little.
Alex, love the interviews you are doing with the Marquette Gang. What an interesting group of young adults you are with. Stephanie, my husband and I have met quite a few women doing travel nursing, and they loved it ~ what a way to see the country! Some we've met that have apartments for a few months while working, while others are living in an RV and camping along the way while working. The world is yours! Follow your dream. (Just a little wisdom from one of the old folks!)
