1. Where are you from and where do you hope to go? I am from West Bend, WI and hopefully I'll go to North Carolina with my sister who's in her residency. I'd love to get a job at her hospital and then later on continue to get my Pediatric NP.
2. First impression of Peru: Ummm...I assumed I'd never stop sweating ever again. There hasn't been a moment where I haven't been sweaty.
3. What type of nursing interests you most: Pediatrics for sure. I also like mental health and emergency or oncology, so I hope to see those areas at some point. I find them fascinating.
4. Favorite experience of the trip thus far: Ummm...I really liked playing soccer. That was SO fun. And everything else. I'm going blank. Actually I loved working in the eye clinic also...I felt like a real nurse.
5. What has been the most eye-opening experience while in Peru: It's pretty much just how people can have so little and yet still be so happy. Definitely...it's amazing how we live compared to how they live and it just seems so unfair. I always want to do more.
